Young Adult Month

  • Jan. 12th, 2007 at 3:03 PM

This is my first attempt at a blog! Here it goes!

First of all - Congratulations to YAC - the Young Adult Council and TOT - the Theology on Tap Core Teams. Young Adult Month is off and running.

I was at TOT last Monday at Allendale Bar & Grill. We were in the "upper room" and it was jam packed! Fr. Len Gilman was awesome - with "Dollar and Sense: When Glitter and Gold are Not Enough." Young adults asked deep questions. We had so much fun - making friends and being excited about our Catholic Faith.

I heard that "Stump the Catholics" went really well at Grasshopper Also in Carlstadt. I could not be there because I was hosting the New Jersey State Young Adult Conference at the Retreat Center in Kearny. Mark your calendar for that conference - May 5, 2007.

Check the website for many more upcoming TOT sessions: www.newarkoym.org

You can't miss the Sons and Daughters of the Light Retreat coming up January 26-28. Young adults - that's you! Sons and Daughters of the Light! Come, grow in your identity and celebrate who you are for the Church and the world. Registration is due now. The form is on the website.

We're going to the Right to Life March on the 22nd. We'll be leaving at 4:00 a.m. to get to DC for the Mass. We hope and pray that our voices are heard loud and clear. It is time that LIFE is respected. That is God's great gift to us!

Come join the outreach, too, on January 20th. We have the chance to spread joy to those who are reaching out to us.

We have so much going on. Be a part of this wave of enthusiasm and "new springtime" as Pope John Paul II called these times.

It is a privilege and blessing for me to walk this journey with you in the Light of Christ.

I'm looking forward to the long weekend. I'll be looking for you at Allendale TOT on Monday, January 15 at 7:30 p.m.

God bless you!

Love,
Sr. Loretta (sr_dee)
